2008 Scholarship Information
This
scholarship was established in memory of Phil Clancy by his family and
friends to honor his love of engineering and dedication to
FIRST©. Phil was an experimental
engineer with General Motors Truck Group and a FIRST advisor for Truck
Town Thunder. He passed away December 29, 2002 at age 50 after a brief
battle with Leukemia.

One $2,000 award will be given.
Student Criteria:
-
High school senior who is currently participating
on a Michigan FIRST© FRC team
-
Pursuing degree in engineering or related
technology field.
-
Grade point average 2.0-3.5
-
Financial need
Please submit the following documents post marked by
March 7, 2008:

A short statement of your plans after high
school, what responsibilities you have on the team and what you
expect to gain from participating in FIRST©.
Two page max. Please avoid using identifying information.

A letter of recommendation from a team advisor.
Again please avoid using identifying information.

Official school transcripts

Copy of parents 2007 W2 forms, 2007 completed
taxes or 2006 taxes

add any appropriate personal information that you wish: number
of family members in college, recent loss of parent job, recent
